Woodland Park, Colorado is in Teller County, 18 miles west of Colorado Springs. The area was originally a place for travelers and miners to rest before they continued with their travels. With a population now of 7,5000, this flourishing community was established in 1891. At that time, the main business in town was saw milling, primarily for railroad ties and gold mine braces.
